2007 Proxy Voting Report Out Now
Georgeson, the world's leading proxy solicitation firm and part of the Computershare group, has partnered with Manifest, the UK-based proxy voting agency, in the release of the 2007 Proxy Voting Report. The report is the second pan-European survey of proxy voting trends covering the primary blue-chip indices in Europe as well as the leading UK indices.

The report reveals patterns in dissent against different types of resolutions, shareholder turnout for meetings and disclosure levels. It identifies the dynamics of engaged, responsible ownership and voting across borders, as well as identifying the most contentious types of meeting business of the 2007 UK and European season. In addition, the practical challenges of voting are explored both from an investor and an issuer perspective.

'With the rise in shareholder activism and the growing level of Hedge Fund ownership, trying to minimise opposition to key resolutions at your shareholder meeting is now more important than ever, helping you better plan for your next meeting.'
Cas Sydorowitz, Managing Director of Georgeson, Europe

Issuers with an interest in understanding comparative levels of turnout and what issues are drawing the greatest opposition from shareholders, should read this report as a priority.
